I’m an American who’s just come back from spending the past 18 years in France. While in France I started and ran a culinary vacation school and a b&b. Post-divorce I continued touring many visitors to food artisans and wineries. During the economic downturn in 2008 I took the unprogrammed ‘time-off’ to intern at my favorite goat dairy. Little did I know that that would lead to a new career. I first started blogging back in 2006 – An American in Avignon on blogspot.

I am now in the US, in Northport, MI, starting a new goat dairy with French Alpine Goats. Learning, exploring and building. My two sons, born in France of a French father, have accompanied me here and are exploring their American roots. This blog details some of the steps we’ve taken.
